โครงงาน STEPs Project-based Learning

การเรียนรู้ด้วยโครงงานเป็นกิจกรรมที่นำ ไปสู่การพัฒนาสมองได้อย่างมีผลดี ผู้เรียนซึ่งเป็นผู้ทำ โครงงานต้องใช้วิธีการ เรียนรู้หลายอย่างทำ ให้สมองทำงานทุก ๆ ส่วน เริ่มตั้งแต่การมองเห็นปัญหา การทำให้ปัญหาต่าง ๆ สัมผัสได้ มีความหมาย ต่อผู้เรียน ต่อมาสมองก็ต้องค้นหาวิธีการที่จะนำ ไปใช้ในการแก้ปัญหา ลงมือปฏิบัติจริง และเมื่อปฏิบัติได้สำเร็จแล้วก็จะเกิด ความรู้สึกที่ดี อารมณ์เชิงบวกติดอยู่กับงานั้นน ๆ ยิ่งการทำโครงงานเป็นงานกลุ่ม การร่วมมือกันทำงาน ร่วมคิดร่วมทำ ยิ่งทำให้บุคคลพัฒนาความรู้ไปถึงขั้นสูงสุด เป็นความรู้แบบขยายประโยชน์สู่สังคม ทำให้สังคมเป็นสุขเป็นหนึ่งเดี่ยวกัน

การสอนโดยโครงงาน นอกจากจะเน้นผลด้านการพัฒนาสมองแล้วยังเป็นการเรียนรู้ที่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของผู้เรียน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งผู้เรียนในวัยรุ่นที่มีพลังมากต้องแสดงออกอยู่เสมอ การทำโครงงานจึงเป็นวิธีการใช้พลังงานของ ผู้เรียนไปในทางที่ดี เกิดการเรียนรู้ที่ดี เมื่อพลังส่วนใหญ่ถูกใช้ไปในงานแล้ว ผู้เรียนจะเหลือพลังอยู่น้อย โอกาสที่จะ ใช้พลังไปในทางที่ไม่ควรก็ต้องมีน้อยลง การสอนโดยเข้าชั้นเรียนธรรมดา ฟังครูบรรยาย ทำ แบบฝึกหัด เตรียมสอบ สอบได้แล้วจบเลยจะทำ ให้ผู้เรียนมีพลังเหลือใช้อยู่มาก นอกจากนี้ สตีเวน โควี ยังนำเสนอว่าเกรดที่ผู้เรียนได้ใน การเรียนรู้นั้นไม่มีความหมายใด ๆ สิ่งที่มีความหมายที่สุดที่จะบอกฝีมือผู้เรียนได้อย่างดี คือในระหว่างเรียนนน ผู้เรียนได้ลงมือทำลงมือปฏิบัติ ลงมือแสดงอะไรบ้าง ผลงานเหล่านี้จึงจะเป็นตัวบ่งชี้สำคัญว่าผู้เรียนประสบผลสำ เร็จเพียงใด และมีความพร้อมต่องานในอนาคต ในตลาดแรงงาน ในการแข่งขันของประเทศเพียงใด การสอนโดยโครงงานจึงเป็นสิ่งที่ ทำ ให้เกิดการเรียนรู้ได้คงทนที่สุดเพราะผู้เรียนต้องคิดเอง ทำ เอง ตัดสินใจเอง เลือกเอง พัฒนาเอง อย่างแท้จริง
